The Central Group was incorporated in August 1996 and proudly provides materials handling, construction equipment, and transport solutions with supporting service and maintenance plans to many companies around New Zealand that need top-quality local support options. Offering comprehensive forklift, truck, and construction equipment rental and fleet maintenance programs including WOF’s, COF's, regular checks, and servicing to keep the machinery running and well maintained, this is a key part of our customer relationships.
We are the NZ importer and dealer of Materials Handling equipment including brands like Heli, STILL, Svetruck, and Flexi Forklifts. With a product range covering warehouse equipment, order pickers, electric forklifts, diesel forklifts, LPG forklifts, and heavy forklifts for moving containers.
We are the NZ importer and dealer of Construction equipment including brands like Takeuchi and Wacker Neuson. With a product range covering diggers, Excavators, Tracked Loaders, Mini Track loaders, Mini Skid Steers, Wheel Loaders, Dumpers, Telehandlers, and Rollers.
We are the lower north island dealer for brands UD Trucks and Hyundai Trucks. With a product range covering Light Duty, Medium Duty, and Heavy Duty with Electric Truck options available in the near future.
We cover the North Island with branches in Whangarei, Auckland, Hamilton, Hawkes Bay, Palmerston North, and Wellington with our Christchurch branch and Dealer network extending our national coverage throughout the South Island. With a dedicated staff of over 125 people including Sales Representatives nationwide and a skilled service technician near you.
Our fleet of white and yellow service vehicles on the road - 24 hours, 7 days a week – allows our skilled and professional technicians to be able to handle breakdowns quickly and effectively.
Central Group is currently working on an amalgamation project bringing together the strengths of Central Group forklifts and Trucks, Fowlers Machinery 2017 Ltd, and New Zealand Equipment Group under one name.

Whangarei - Our Whangarei branch was set up in the port area to service our local customers busy working in freight, shipping, and transport. attached to the Culham Engineering building at 15-17 Hewlett Street, Port Whangārei, Whangārei.
Auckland - 102 Carbine Road, Mt Wellington, Auckland has been servicing and maintaining material handling equipment for over 60 years with it's long history under Fowler's Machinery it is now a key part of supporting our customer's fleets throughout the region as part of the Central Group.
Hamilton - Our Hamilton operations are located at 1/39 McKee Street, Te Rapa, Hamilton provide a quick and easy solution to the growing businesses in and moving to Hamilton.
Hawkes Bay – Our Hawkes Bay Branch is located at 23 Cadbury Road, Napier. This location is placed right in the heart of the industrial area. We service the East Coast region including Gisborne, Wairoa, Napier, Hastings, and Waipawa.
Manawatu - Central Forklift Group’s Manawatu Branch is located at 29 Kelvin Grove Road, Palmerston North. The Manawatu Branch services an area that includes the Manawatu, Horowhenua, Wanganui, Taihape, and Dannevirke.
Hutt Valley Branch - Head Office is based at 45 Percy Cameron Street, Avalon, Lower Hutt. This building was purpose-built in 2009 to service our Sales, Truck & Forklift maintenance, Rental fleet, Driver Training courses, and Administration under one roof. The Hutt Valley Branch services the Wellington, Kapiti Coast, and Wairarapa regions.
Christchurch - Primarily focused on construction equipment 1/22 Lowther Street, Stockburn, Christchurch is focused on providing knowledge and expertise on our Takeuchi and Wacker Neuson product range developing and growing reliable parts and servicing required to keep these machines working.
All other regions are covered by our Dealer Network.
